e are very pleased to announce the relaunch of the Young Israel's website. The new site is a comprehensive source to find all you need and want to know about our shul, from davening times to Youth events; weekly announcements to Shiva updates; sign-up forms to Yom Tov information, and special "Member Only" sections including an online membership directory and a brand new membership map as well as protected access to your own account information, contact preferences, family members, Yahrzeits, etc. Please see below all the great stuff already packed into the new YIWH.org and be on the look-out for more to come...

As you can see, there are numerous menu choices across the top of every page on yiwh.org. We'll spend a few minutes giving you the highlights of each section, and invite you to click on some or all to learn just how much information is available throughout the site.
Home:
Here you'll find a mix of past and present information about the shul, it's history, past Presidents, current Officers and Committees, and for those looking to join our shul - a Membership Application (both online and printable formats) and important contacts. And let's not forget the Community Map to see the wide variety of Kosher eateries and shops as well as our Jewish institutions right here in West Hempstead.
Calendar:
Looking for a minyan, special event, shiur, Youth or Sisterhood program? This is the spot. In addition, the West Hempstead Community Calendar is hosted on our site so you can check for open dates in a month from now, or a year. As with other special portions of the website, you must be logged into your member account to see the Community Calendar. We've also added links to printable versions of the monthly and annual davening calendars and Yom Tov specific schedules when available. When viewing the Calendar, you can filter the items you see to select only the specific type of event you wish to view.
Youth:
Parents and Youth alike can find everything they need to know about our awesome Youth Department, from Nursery groups to Teen Programs. Events are published here along with sign-up forms, and payment options when appropriate.
Sisterhood:
The wide array of programs, chesed and volunteer opportunities, fun nights, speakers, fund raisers, learning opportunities is endless with the YIWH Sisterhood. This is the information home for all that, and to help you connect, we've provided the names of the Sisterhood Officers and committee members. Please reach out to any to get involved.

You guessed it, here we post the visuals from our collective programming. See what all the fun was about, whether you participated or missed out.
Directory:
Online Membership Directory and Member Map, only available to our Members (you must be logged in to you account to access), as well as out Merchant Directory. Please support these merchants who are supporting our shul with the advertising dollars.

Member Access
By logging into the site using your email address and password, you will have access to all your member information, as well as other Member Only sections.
My Billing:
See your recent transactions, charges and payments, outstanding obligations, check numbers, etc. Change the filters to see any date range since the shul moved to this online system in the fall of 2011. Make a payment, or setup recurring payments.
Ensure your name, both English and Hebrew are correct, as is your address, phone numbers, etc. You can update your own information, helping us stay in touch with you.
You control types what emails you receive from the shul.
Help us serve you and the community by letting us know the members of your family, especially children's names and ages.
Keep the shul notified of your Yahrzeits so that we give the proper kibbudim, remind you about tzeddakah opportunities, and place them on the Calendar, only visible to you.

With so much information on our site, sometimes it's difficult to find what you are looking for. Use our Search bar to find just what you need.
Right-Side Navigation
On most pages of the website, you will find important information about upcoming events, the days davening schedule, canle lighting and even Eruv status.
Mobile App
On the go? Keep yiwh.org mobile version with you on your iPhone or Android device. Access the calendar, zmanim, your account, even make a donation on the run. Also available is a shortcut to Shiva Information and the Membership Directory. Some parts of the App are only available to members when they have logged in.
